In a time of unprecedented demand for building products both globally and locally, James Hardie has been making significant efforts to ensure the continuity of supply of our products to our customers.
With the forecast peak demand still in front of us we have identified some opportunities to minimise potential stock shortages by updating our service offer and rationalising our vast range of fibre cement products.
This will provide the opportunity to maximise production capacity on higher demand products by James Hardie and better service market needs.
It’s important you take the time to read through the following changes to understand how they may affect your business.
New Service Offer
In order to provide our distributors with improved reliability and accuracy of supply times, we’re shifting to a new service model. This new model effectively results in supply lead times to our distributors approximating a 2 (Category A) and 4 (Category B) week lead time, depending on the product.
What does this mean for you? To minimise disruption, we suggest you provide forward orders reflective of these target lead times to your supplier of Hardie™ materials wherever possible.
At Knauf Australia we understand that tradesmen love their mechanical jointing tools. However, compounds almost always need to be diluted to the right consistency before they can be used with popular tools such as tapers and boxes.
That’s why Knauf Australia developed new Box Ready MastaLine – the first all-purpose jointing compound for jointing tools that does not require water to be added before use, making it perfect for high-rise projects or on sites where water access is limited.
Box Ready MastaLine is a premixed all-purpose compound that can be applied through mechanical jointing tools straight from the bucket. The consistency is perfect and no mixing is required, saving you time!
Box Ready Mastaline can be used interchangeably with the standard MastaLine, and in all phases of jointing, coating trim & fasteners and final coating.
